Dear Parents,
Short but busy week! We worked on a lot of things this week including: learning about the Letters E, F, G, Listening Larry bodies to reinforce our Whole Body Listening discussions, fine motor centres to help strengthen the muscles in our hands, built Lego boats and discussed National Child Day.
Conferences begin tonight and will wrap up tomorrow. While you are at conferences, please be sure to check out our Lost and Found as we have many items that miss their homes. Outside of our classroom I will have the vertical sign in charts that we have been using with our names. Please try to find your child's name and sign in. How did it feel to sign in on a vertical surface? Also, I will have your child's visual journal out for display. Please take a look at what they have been up to.
Next week:
Monday - H
Tuesday - I
Wednesday - J
Thursday - K
We strongly encourage all children to bring something in each day that begins with our letter of the day. Having this object allows them the opportunity to share something they found, demonstrate their understanding of the alphabet and make a connection to the alphabet from their home life. We use these objects to share, sort, re-sort, write and draw.
Check Twitter for some photos from this week.
Looking forward to seeing you all in the next day or two!
