Hello Families!
What a busy couple of weeks we have had! Movement with a message ended last week and our children loved it! They learned some cool new dance moves and danced with new friends each day. This week we had Clay for Kids in our room and they have created some amazing self-portrait art work. We can't wait to see the finished product in a couple of weeks. Thank you to all of the volunteers for helping us complete these projects! Your help greatly appreciated!!
It has hard to believe that we are almost down to the last two months of Kindergarten! And they are going to be busy months. We have fire hall tours booked, Teacher's Pet is coming in for an in school art experience, STEM challenges every Friday, Volunteer Tea, and year end events.
We will be starting to focus more on the sound that letters make over the next few weeks. With a focus on initial and final sounds (ex: dog initial sound /d/ and final sound /g/). This helps children begin reading and spelling.
In Math we are learning about 2D and 3D shapes. See if your child can explain the difference to you.
If your child has letter or word flash cards at home (sent by me), it would be greatly appreciated if you could send the cards back to school with your child each day. I go through the cards daily to see where your child is at with letter sounds and sight words.
