Fire Station Tour:
We had such a great time at our Fire Station tour today! Thank you to the volunteers who came and assisted us. We saw 4 different trucks; one truck was called out to a medical emergency so we got to experience they leave the station. We saw all of the tools they use and got to check out their safety equipment. Here is what our Kinders had to say about it:
- ML - I liked that I got to go in the fire truck and I got to see all of their tools.
- KBr - Close your bedroom door and feel it if it is hot.
- EJ - We need to make a fire plan. We go in my Nana and Granddad's basement or we jump off the balcony.
- KBe - My homework is to check my fire alarm.
- LC - I remember how we need to have a fire plan. We open the screen door, go outside and then we open the wooden back door and run and tell my neighbours.
- SJ - My favourite part was when ML dressed up as a Firefighter.
- DD - I remember that when our pants get on fire, we need to stop, drop and roll. And cover your face.
Beginning June 10, all library books need to be returned. Mrs. Norman, our librarian will begin her checking in and re-shelving process.
