Hello Families!

 We only have two weeks of school left! There is a lot happening over the next two weeks so I want to ensure everyone is aware of all of the important dates. 

 June 18 - SOGO for AM Kinder
  • Next week Andrew Sibbald students will be participating in the SOGO running adventure program on Tuesday June 18th (AM Kinders) and Wednesday June 19th (PM Kinders).
    Students will walk to and from Fish Creek Park. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather including:
    -running shoes
    -hat
    -sunscreen applied
    -bug spray applied
    -sunglasses (if they want)
    -water bottle

    Please ensure your child eats a big breakfast or lunch on that day. Students may require additional snacks.

    Thanks again to everyone who has volunteered! Your time is truly appreciated. If you are volunteering on Tuesday June 18th (morning) please arrive at 8:00 am. If you are volunteering on Wednesday June 19th (afternoon) please arrive at 12:00 pm.

    If you have any questions or do not wish for your child to participate please let me know. In the event it is raining, please ensure your child has footwear that can get wet and a rain jacket. A change of clothes in their backpack, including socks, would be appreciated.

  • AM Kinders are invited and encouraged to attend with their families.

June 24 - Talent Show - PM Kinder
  • AM Kinders are invited and encouraged to attend with their families. 
  • Time: 1:00pm
June 25 - Year-End Assembly - AM Kinder 
  • Slideshow of photos will be presented. 
  • Time: TBD
  • PM Kinders: Slideshow will be presented in the afternoon
June 26 - Last day for PM Kinder
  • Last day dismissal at 2:30pm
  • Report cards will be sent home with your child. 
June 27 - Last day for AM Kinder
  • Last day dismissal at 12:00pm
  • Report cards will be sent home with your child. 
Calgary Public Library Summer Events
If you are looking for some fun things to do over the summer, please check out our Calgary Public Libraries. They have many cool events such as dance classes, stories read by princesses and splatter painting. Dates and times vary by location.

 Fire Hall Field Trip (AM Kinder)
Kinders had a blast! They got to spray the fire hose and aim at a pylon. Ask your child something about what they learned. As always thank you to all of our volunteers. Your time is truly appreciated!



Grade One Transition
Each day we continue to revisit and review the transition to grade one. This week the AM Kinders read a story about a new teacher and had a discussion regarding what they want their new teacher to know about them.

-"I am excited because I am getting older and then I will lose more teeth." CS
-"I am so excited because maybe we can go on a bus." -MM
-"I am excited because my class will be near my sister’s class." -SH
-"I hope my new teacher is nice to me because I like grade one." -LP
