What a busy week we had in Kindergarten! A few firsts for all of us: our first practice lockdown, our first sub for Mrs. McKay, and our first Spirit Day with T-shirts!
* If you are coming to the Halloween dance tonight (6:30-8pm) please check out our Halloween art on the bulletin board by our classroom. Children did a fabulous job making each monster unique.
Classroom Volunteers:
Our room parents have sent out information regarding classroom volunteer opportunities and upcoming workshops/field trips. If you would like to volunteer and did not receive these emails, please check your JUNK as that is where they went for me. Otherwise, make sure you have submitted the pink volunteer sheet as this is where the contact info came from.
A BIG THANK YOU to all of the parents who have volunteered to date, we always love having you and appreciate your support.
Halloween:
For Halloween next week, we invite students to dress up on Oct 31st if they would like as long as their costumes don’t interfere with their learning and the costumes are school appropriate (no weapons, no blood and gore etc). We will have two costume parades – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Kindergarten students will parade in the hallway (around the outside of the learning commons) while classes watch from their doorways/hallway outside their class. We will then play the monster mash in the Learning Commons and invite all students to dance to the Monster Mash.
