I hope you are having a wonderful Family Day weekend! We have been lucky enough to be enjoying the snow at Fernie Alpine Report and our girls skied for the first time!
If anyone has any restaurant take-out menus, we would love to use them in our classroom. We will be turning our kitchen into a restaurant in the next week or two.
We will be working with our Kindergarten Specialist on drawing and painting self-portraits this week and next week.
In Math we have been focusing on the numbers 1-10 and making different combinations using those numbers. This week our problem was: "If you have 6 cookies and two different types of cookies (ex: chocolate chip and snickerdoodle) how many different combinations could you make?" We used pattern blocks as our cookies and recorded our learning in a "T chart". This week we will continue to work with this problem but changing the total number of cookies. \
