Literacy
Students continue to work on labelling in their visual journals. Many students are starting to print familiar sight words (eg: I can run). Support your child at home to label their drawings using "inventive spelling." Inventive spelling refers to the child sounding out the word and printing the sounds they hear. If this is challenging for your child support them to sound out the initial and ending consonant sounds until their confidence increases.
