We have had another incredible week in kindergarten!
Shave a Lid
Thank you to all of the families who supported and attended the Shave a Lid Assembly. Andrew Sibbald School has already surpassed the $15, 000 goal with more contributions still coming! MG, KB & CS all shaved their head/cut their hair, way to go... we are so proud of you! We had 48 students either shave their lid or cut off their ponytail and one staff member. We raised over $29,000 for Kids Cancer Care to aid them in more research for childhood cancer, develop newer and better treatment options, build awareness and send kids who have been impacted by cancer to Camp Kindle. This is amazing! We also had the special treat of having "Leaving Thomas" come and sing the song "We Got This" LIVE! Thank you for all of your support!!
Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to all of the fabulous kinder Moms! The self-portraits from "Clay for Kids" were meant to be your gifts however they are not ready quite yet. We will send them home as soon as they arrive at the school. These treasures will certainly be worth the wait!
Lockdown
This week the AM kinders had a practice lockdown. We reviewed the safe spot and remaining quiet. Kinders did a fabulous job and were able to identify why a lockdown might be required.
Transitions
Kinder are very excited to be going to grade one next year. We frequently review what this transition will look like etc. We have been spending time with grade ones to create new friendships and learn from them.
